Founders of Emco Equine, Emma Smith and Josh Collins, have both been passionate and competitive riders from a young age. Following a successful Junior and Young Rider campaign, Emma was selected to ride at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival in 2005 and then on-selected to the International Youth Festival in South Africa in 2006. Josh started his career in New Zealand on ponies, was successful as a Junior and Young Rider before moving to Europe for a job producing young horses.

Memorable results for Emma include winning the inaugural Magic Millions Teams Challenge, winning her hometown Bega Cup and World Cup placings. Josh’s favourite results include finishing third at the Caboolture World Cup, second in the inaugural Magic Millions Teams Challenge and Winning the EA Cup at Sydney Royal Show 2022. Josh has recently been named on the New Zealand High Performance Potential Squad.

Since starting in 2014 Emco Equine has grown from a very small jumping stable with a focus on breaking in thoroughbreds to now being solely a Showjumping Horse and Rider training business. We are excited to see the careers of the horses we are producing and what the future holds for the progeny from Cornel in particular.
